Speni Family ~ Crystal Beach

We all know how hectic the Holidays can get. All the traveling, company, kids, messes, recipes, grocery shopping…need I say more?? Trying to get any family all together at the same time (and showered) has proven to be quite a task; trust me, my family is probably the hardest to get out the door before the sun goes down! So sometimes, the perfect golden hour sunlight just is not an option and you have to improvise! With family needing to leave town around 3 we had a family session on Crystal Beach at 2 in the afternoon! When the family asked my opinion, I said “It’ll b a bright one, but we will make it work!” This session was fun, relaxed and quick…who doesn’t enjoy those kinds? I did the age-old, close your eyes and “open and smile” when I get to 3. Majority didn’t turn out great, and yes lots of them hurt to even look at. You know you have wonderful clients when they are squinting in pain trying to get that one shot! After the family portraits were over we relaxed and took a few individual and couple shots and I must say, I think, given the circumstances, they came out pretty great. It’s hard not to love vibrant colors of the Emerald Coast or these three handsome young boys running around. This session was the epitome or Florida Christmas, bare feet, sunshine and 70 degrees in December, can’t beat it! <3

Visser Family Session ~ Okaloosa Island

I recently attended a fundraiser put on by Proffitt PR for the Shelter House located here in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. Being new to the area I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet some locals and get in touch with other small business owners. I decided to donate a family portrait session to the cause, with 100% of the cost going towards helping women affected by  domestic violence, and I am so happy that I did! The Visser family is also new to the Emerald Coast; although they have been in the states for a few years now, we had fun discussing the beauty of our new home! These blonde haired, blue eyed beauties are definitely a stunning interpretation of their Netherland heritage! We had such a fun and relaxed session with lots of laughter and quite a few cartwheels. As usual we ended with a stunning sunset and I have to admit, I don’t think they will ever get old! <3

Marshall Beach Wedding

Angie and Tony’s Wedding was on October 19 at The Shores of Panama in Panama City Beach. The day began with the Wedding Planner texting me asking if we should switch to Plan B due to the weather. Let me just tell you that no photographer ever wants to switch to Plan B, especially when Plan A is a beautiful beach setting on the Emerald Coast! It wasn’t long before I got word that the Groom had decided that they wanted to stick with Plan A, rain or shine – my kind of people!:)With hope in the air, the ladies and gents got ready and what do you know….the weather cleared just before the ceremony was scheduled to begin! I think its safe to say that Angie and Tony had some good vibes on their side, they got the good luck from rain on their wedding day and even got some sunshine during their vows, could you ask for more?? The ceremony was beautiful and the party was nothing short of hilarious. This amazing couple even had a flat screen pulled in so we could all watch the Seminole game, which was a serious BONUS! With great food, booze, LOTS of dancing and wonderful friends and family, Angie and Tony began their life together surrounded by love. It was such a pleasure working with them – may your love last a lifetime <3
