Dukowitz Trash the Dress

Spenser and Zacc came to visit me in Destin before a weekend away in New Orleans. I had suggested that we head over to Okaloosa Island for a Trash the Dress shoot and let’s just say it didn’t take any convincing! This was my first TTD shoot and it was a blast! We started on the dunes with some formals but it didn’t take long for these two love birds to jump in and enjoy the beautiful water. We lucked out with yet another gorgeous sunset – something that I am still getting used to here in Destin! We had some cold brews to finish off the shoot with and decided to start the party weekend a little early….

Dukowitz Florida Lodge Wedding

Spenser and Zacc have been very close friends of mine for the last few years, specifically while living in Gainesville, FL. Up until just recently, we would typically spend most nights of the week together, cooking ridiculously delicious dinners, drinking fine scotch and listening to records – I know, I know, it sounds pretty great, and yes it was. Sadly, that wonderful era has come to an end but for exciting reasons!

Spenser and Zacc decided shortly after becoming engaged that they wanted to take advantage of being young and in love with very little responsibilities. They agreed that after their wedding, and a short little cross-country road trip, they would be taking an extended honeymoon to Guatemala (yes MOVING to Guatemala)!!!!!!! The last few months with them has been amazing; watching two people plan a wedding while also planning to relocate their entire lives (including their dogchild) to a completely new country is very inspiring. Countless hours of paperwork, dealing with name changes, visas, physicals, shots, financial matters, finding a place to live, booking flights, yard sales etc.

I have to give Spenser most of the credit for the adorable DIY wedding. She created invitations, made all the centerpieces and decorations. This girl even remembered to bring bug spray for guests and wood polish for the picnic tables!

The Ceremony and Reception were held just outside of Gainesville at an adorable small Lodge owned by the Alachua Conservation Trust. Massive oak trees, palms, and spanish moss gave the surrounding vibrant green scenery a romantic feel. We had typical Florida Storm roll through just as everything had been set up outside , only to be brought back in just before the rain started. But, you know what they say, rain on your big day is good luck and it stopped just in time for the ceremony to begin….not to mention, it definitely cooled the temperature, which we were all thankful for.

The ceremony was short, sweet, and comfortable. There we quite a few tears but also lots of laughs, which is the perfect combination for two best friends to become husband and wife! After the ceremony there was a fantastic live band and I think it’s safe to say everyone had an amazing night.

Good luck to Spenser and Zacc and thank you for being such amazing friends, supportive clients and the goofiest people I have yet to photograph. May your new life together be all you have ever dreamed of and more. We will miss you dearly! xoxo A

And we’re LIVE!

The day has finally arrived! Alissa Aryn Photography’s Website is live for all of your curious eyes to see. Let me just say, as I am sure some of you already know, building and customizing your own website is no a small task that one finishes over coffee – although a massive amount was consumed in the creation of this website in particular. Maybe it’s because I am a perfectionist or maybe it is because I felt the need to retouch basically every image before uploading but my body has been glued to this chair for what seems like weeks…well actually that is a correct statement. I am so excited to be able to share my images with you all and to give my clients, present and potential, an outlet to see my work and get to know me a little better.

Now I will be the first to say that my website is not yet complete, and ideally in my mind it never will be. It is going to grow and evolve with me as I continue to pursue my career in photography. Please take a look around and feel free to contact me if you are interested in booking a session. My schedule is pretty slammed in the next couple months so ACT FAST:)We are off to Gainesville, FL tomorrow for a special Wedding in the forest. Check back next week for new images.

xoxo,

A
